About the MPA
MPA Inc. run numerous tournaments/competitions throughout the year.
Tuesday Night Interclub is our popular annual team competition. We usually have around 15 teams entered. Each team comprises of 6 members per team, plus reserves. This is a Round Robin tournament which commences in early April every year and runs through to October/November. We finish the interclub tournament off with some top team, team top singles, and team top pairs playoffs.
At the end of the season we hold an end of year function with a prize giving and a fun blind pairs tournament.
Registrations for Interclub competition are taken in February of each year. Please follow our Facebook page for all news and notifications.
Fees for membership and tournaments are set annually at our Annual General Meeting held in March of each year.
Due to our local ‘Clubs of Marlborough ‘ shutting its doors in November 2022, we run all our tournaments with the support and generosity of our local bars, taverns, and club venues.
We love to support our community and really appreciate all the support we get in return. This is what keeps our pool community thriving.

MPA run numerous tournaments. These are played on weekends at various locations in Marlborough. These are made up of ‘closed’ tournaments which are for the financial members of MPA only, and we have our ‘open’ tournaments which are open to any member of the public whether they reside in Blenheim or not. We often have players from other provinces entering our tournaments.
To become a financial member, all you need to do is complete a membership form and pay our annual membership fee. This makes you eligible to enter all our MPA tournaments. We also have a private Facebook page for members only. Being a member also makes you eligible to enter or play in a team for our Interclub competition which runs from April – October each year.
The Association also run training sessions as required and a summer league.
